Accessibility statement

Self Advocate Coalition of Kansas (SACK) is committed to ensuring that its website is accessible to all users. We strive to provide an inclusive digital experience that allows everyone to access information and services with dignity and independence. If you encounter any difficulty accessing content on sackonline.org or would like to share feedback, please contact us at info@sackonline.org.

Our accessibility efforts are guided by applicable federal accessibility requirements, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility Standards), and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2 published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

The SACK website has been designed with recognized accessibility standards and best practices in mind. To further support a wide range of access needs, we have integrated the Ally – Web Accessibility & Usability plugin. Ally provides tools that allow users to personalize their browsing experience, including options for keyboard-only navigation, larger text, more readable font styles, an enlarged cursor, link highlighting, content desaturation (removal of color from text and images), and additional features based on individual preferences.

Our goal in offering these tools is to give users greater flexibility to adapt digital content to meet their unique needs.

If you require additional assistance or a specific accommodation, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@sackonline.org. We are committed to working with users to ensure meaningful access.

To access the Ally accessibility features, click the Ally icon located in the bottom right corner of any sackonline.org webpage.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Self Advocate Coalition of Kansas is making constant efforts to improve the accessibility of its site and services in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible, and unhindered use for those of us with disabilities.

We aim to make all pages and content on https://sackonline.org/ accessible, but some content may not yet fully meet the highest accessibility standards. This could be due to challenges in identifying the most suitable technological solution.

We may revise this Statement periodically to reflect improvements or changes to our accessibility practices.
